Using Biofeedback to Control Asthma

Biofeedback involves training your body to be aware of the functions of itself and to master control over them. How does this related to asthma? During an attack the muscles that surround the airways become inflamed and contract. If one is able to relax these muscles they would be able to breathe freely. With regular training with biofeedback one can practice relaxation techniques that would allow them to start an attack before it starts.
